Our field trip to the Kennedy Mines in Jackson, Ca. was awesome! Students were immersed in Gold Rush history. The docents that are all volunteers, engaged my students in learning how a gold mine worked and the rich history of the Kennedy Mine. I highly recommend a visit to the mine if you are near by.

October was a long month, full of learning and fun. Students had a blast at STEM Fest and it was wonderful to see all our school community come out and support us. This month we delve into our California PBL, started module 3 in math, continued working on writing with spooky stories. Students were so creative in writing and recording their stories. We had a dairy cow visit us, had fun with figurative language and my students led the school in the flag salute, and morning message. It was a busy and productive month!! |
